MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Illinois State women’s soccer team is looking to snap a four-match skid as it is set to travel to Milwaukee on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. There will not be a video feed, but an audio link will be available.

WHERE: Milwaukee, Wis., Engelmann Stadium

OPPONENT: Milwaukee (MKE leads all-time series, which began in 1996, 9-4-2)




Milwaukee leads the all-time series, 9-4-2. Illinois State and Milwaukee most recently met on 8/28/2015, a 3-1 win for ISU in Normal.

After playing five times in a span of 1,405 days from 2011-2015, the Redbirds and Panthers will meet 2,200 days since its last meeting on 8/28/2015. The Redbirds are seeking their first win at Milwaukee since 1998 (0-5-1 in Milwaukee since).


Utah scored in the 20th-minute en route to topping Illinois State, 2-0. Junior Allison Baker and freshman Kasey Neidhardt each had dangerous attempts for the Redbirds but came up empty. Redshirt junior Priya Gillan made five saves in a solid performance in goal. Utah held a 15-8 advantage in shots.


Senior Riley O’Brien is tied for the conference’s lead in goals scored with three while fifth-year seniors Sarah LaFayette and Natalie Vaughn-Low each both tied for fifth with two goals scored apiece. Illinois State is the only team in the MVC that has three players with two or more goals scored.

After Milwaukee, ISU is scheduled to host Northwestern for Thursday’s 6:00 p.m. match.
