Portugal and Greece have become the latest European countries to ease Covid-19 travel restrictions for vaccinated travellers.
Both EU nations removed their previous rules requiring fully vaccinated visitors to present a negative Covid test result on arrival from Monday (7 February).
These travellers can now just use the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC) or another recognised proof of vaccination status, such as the UK’s NHS app.
All visitors to Portugal must still fill in a passenger locator form (PLF), which has to be completed after check-in but before departure of their flight.
As with Portugal, all visitors to Greece are also required to fill in a PLF before arrival, as well as proving their vaccination status.
“Full vaccination status is defined as at least two doses, except in the case of Johnson & Johnson for which the first and only dose is required,” confirmed the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
“Greece will accept vaccination certificates for a period of 270 days following the administration of the last dose of the primary vaccination. For the Johnson & Johnson vaccine this means 270 days from the first and only dose.”
