International Airlines Group’s low-cost long-haul brand Level this week added Los Angeles-Barcelona direct service and resumed San Francisco-Barcelona direct service for the summer season, the company announced. Level also will launch Boston-Barcelona service on May 1 and will continue its New York-Barcelona route, it said.
The company claimed that it is the only airline to offer direct flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Barcelona. The Los Angeles route currently operates three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and on June 1 will add a fourth departure on Wednesdays. The San Francisco route operates four times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The airline codeshares with American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Level will offer more than 11,000 weekly seats this summer on its routes to the United States, which is more than double what was offered in 2019, according to the company.
