THE MEET
Boise State gymnastics heads east for a quad meet hosted by No. 22 Illinois. There the Broncos will square off with the Illini, Central Michigan and Northern Illinois. The meet is set to start at 7 p.m. CT/8 p.m. MT and can be streamed on BTN+.
 
LAST TIME OUT
Last time out the Broncos fell to No. 17 Southern Utah on the road, 196.675-196.225.
 
The bars rotation set a season high, tying the fourth-highest score in program history with 49.500. Emily Lopez and Emily Muhlenhaupt each scored 9.950 – a career high for Lopez – to take home medalist honors.
 
On vault, Lopez and Courtney Blackson each scored 9.875 to take home co-medalist honors. Two career-highs were set in beam as Talia Little and Alexis Stokes each scored 9.850.
 
WEEKLY AWARDS
Three Broncos heard their names called when the MRGC announced its weekly awards.

Lopez and Muhlenhaupt were named Co-Specialists of the Week on bars for their performances against Southern Utah, while Alyssa Vulaj collected her second-straight Vault Specialist of the Week honor after posting a 9.925 earlier in the week at the Stanford quad meet.
 
RECORD WATCH
With her bars victory against Southern Utah, Muhlenhaupt tied Lindsay Ward for the program record for career victories in the event. One more victory in the event will move her into sole possession of the record that has stood since 2008.
 
BACK IN THE RANKINGS
Boise State reached the minimum amount of meets to earn a NQS last week, putting them back in the top-25 rankings at No. 23.
 
Three Broncos are ranked in the top-25 nationally on bars. Muhlenhaupt ranks tied for eighth with an average of 9.915, while Lopez and Stokes both tie for 17th, averaging 9.895.
 
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
Illinois enters the contest with a NQS of 196.110, good for 22nd in the nation. The Illini rank in the top 20 nationally in vault (19th) and bars (18th).
 
Central Michigan enters the meet with an NQS of 195.350. The Chippewas are led by a floor rotation that averages 49.065 per meet.
 
Northern Illinois boasts a nationally-ranked floor rotation, averaging 49.185 in the event this season which stands 20th in the country.
 
WHAT’S NEXT
Up next for Boise State is a tri meet hosted by Arizona State. There the Broncos will take on the Sun Devils along with second-ranked Oklahoma. The meet will take place Friday, March 11, and will start at 7 p.m. MT.
